Sharad Lumba (born 10 September 1989) is an Indian cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Punjab in the 2013–14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 1 April 2014. In January 2018, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 IPL auction. He made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 23 September 2018. Mumbai Indians' fascination for talent had them picking up Sharad Lumba for 20 Lakhs INR ahead of IPL 2018. A middle-order batsman, Lumba made his T20 debut for Punjab in 2014 against Haryana. In the presence of a strong middle-order, Lumba's chances have been sparse. But a valuable knock against Rajasthan in the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy had the MI team management excited and they decided to back the young man. His strike-rate is nothing much to write home about nor his off-spinning skills are but given the fact that he has come up the ranks by playing every age-level cricket in Punjab, he has hit in him to succeed at the top level.
